Indexing your site

If your site is live, but it is not appearing in search engines, like Google, when you search for it, double check your Privacy Settings:

  1. Login to your site
  2. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Privacy
  3. Select the "I would like my site to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Bing, Technorati) and archivers" option and then "Save Changes" if you want search engines to index your site

NOTE: Keep in mind that Google and other search engines take some time to index your site: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=34397

Looks like the setting to allow search engines to index a site are now located under Dashboard > Settings > Reading (Site Visibility).

When I hit Dashboard -> Settings there was no “Privacy” button showing up. Could you update the method? Thank you!
